Mother Lovin' Brews

A good brewery should feel like a distant extension of your own home. The door is always open, the pint glasses wait eagerly to be filled with the brew of your choice, and quite often an appetizing selection of hearty, mouth-watering grub is ready to enjoy between refills. We are excited to welcome the following four breweries to the Verde Valley Wine Festival over Mother's Day Weekend: O.H.S.O. Brewery, Freak N'Brewery, Uncle Bear's Brewery and THAT Brewery.

Outrageous Homebrewer's Social Outpost (or OHSO for short) is your iconic home away from home brew pub with locations in Phoenix and Scottsdale. Serving 40+ beers on tap, many of which are locally brewed, as well as their own distillery products including Arcadia Spirits, #Spirits, and D.I.C.K. Whiskey, they promise to keep your glass full all night. Beers like their slightly sweet and undoubtedly refreshing Popcycle Blonde or their rustically dark and caramel laced 89Ale are just a few of the choices their guests are ordering second and third pints of everyday. Need a little grub to go with that beer? Order up one of their signature Pretzel Boards or Beer Braised Shortribs. You'll be happy you did.

Originally starting out as Rimside Grill & Cabins in Pine, Arizona from 2004 till 2012, owners Tamara and Steve Morken saw what impact they could have on the community by opening a committed local brewery. So with decades of combined experience between the two of them in every corner of the industry, they converted Rimside into what is now the original location of THAT Brewery. Their Pine location serves up some new takes on classic fried pub food like deliciously battered Crunchy Pickle Spears and Elk & Buffalo Chili Nachos. Their second location in Cottonwood is a dedicated bar serving up 17 signature suds like their Roadrash IPA and the Arizona Trail Ale.
