VVWF Sunday's Entertainment

To help us usher in Mother's Day and our final day of the Verde Valley Wine Festival, we have three more bands we'd like to welcome to the Historic Clarkdale Town Park Gazebo in Clarkdale, AZ. Determined to sooth any foodie or wine loving soul, we're sure you'll enjoy the musical selections these amazing musicians have to offer.

Local Phoenix born artist Sarah Chapman has a tendency to take over any stage she's put on, whether it's by herself or with her band "Ghost Cat Attack". Sarah's home grown indie-rock style blends together the perfect mix of jazz lounge grit and acoustic pop rhythm with an energy that reviles even the most seasoned musicians. Never one to let herself slow down, Sarah has been standing her flag at a new stage nearly every week at various open mics, festivals, and outdoor concerts for the past 3 years.

What's the Big Idea is happily returning for their Sunday afternoon encore performance. They've performed more than 150 events around the Phoenix area annually with residency venues including The Crescent Ballroom, The Clarendon Hotel, The Rhythm Room, The Phoenix Art Museum, The Cancer Support Group of Arizona, Four Eight Wineworks in Clarkdale, and many others. A three piece modern Jazz group, "WTBI" was formed in 2012 with members John Kneisel (Double Bass), David Drew (Drums), and Mike Kleinschmidt (Piano). Their lively take on Jazz has a way of massaging your mind the moment it hits you. Both calming and energizing, their music is the auditory encapsulation of that first sip of unforgettable wine.

Always determined to bring in the most diverse audience possible, Thunder and Lightnin' plays everything from country and rock to metal and blues. When it comes to their musical roots though, it's bluegrass fiddle solos and duelin' banjos all the way. Their genuine mountain sound and soulful vocals speak for their love of pure Americana. Whether they're playing classics from the Grateful Dead and the Eagles or they're getting down and personal with their own songs like "Alive or Dead" and "My Paradise is You", they promise to get every audience up and dancing with the same passion they put out every night.
