Celebrating 30 Years of the Arts in Clarkdale

Robyn Prud'homme-Bauer

The Verde Valley Wine Festival is about more than just highlighting the Arizona wine industry; it's also about celebrating the whole culture of fine products grown, raised or created right here in our state. Whether that's Arizona wine-making, organic farm to table culinary dishes, or the beautiful pieces of art from Arizona artists, we are all about promoting the artisinal side of Arizona. So to help celebrate these local artists, sculptures, painters, and more, we'd like to welcome back our non-profit partner, Made in Clarkdale, to the 2017 Valley Verde Wine Festival.

"Verde Valley Wine Festival provides our artists a wonderful opportunity to share their artwork with wine lovers who come for all over Arizona." - Made in Clarkdale Treasurer & VVWF Festival Administrator, Robyn Prud'homme-Bauer

Celebrating their 30th anniversary this year, Made in Clarkdale has helped bring together so many local artists and creators from a wide range of fields, skill levels and ages from across the region. They've helped to nurture a new appreciation for the arts and give these artists brand new avenues to share their work with the community. By reaching out to a new generation of fledgling artists, Made in Clarkdale has also helped to captivate and encourage more kids to follow a career in the arts in many high schools from multiple cities in the Verde Valley.

"It is hard to believe that we have been around 30 years! Hundreds of artists have been involved in Made In Clarkdale over the years," says Treasurer and 20 year board member Robyn Prud'homme-Bauer, "It began as a community event by the Clarkdale Chamber of Commerce to fund a community newsletter. At the first show, seventeen local artists were invited to participate by the show’s creator, Ellie Bauer. Today over 70 artists call themselves Made In Clarkdale artists."
